Establishing Indian Operations
As a natural next step considering recent successes in expanding markets, Teleca is now entering India.
The Teleca strategy for growth involves establishing operations in India during 2008. As the market in India is expected to undergo considerable growth over the next few years, this is a natural next step for expansion. The top five original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the top five chipset manufacturers all have significant operations in India, so Teleca will build on its global customer relations with these companies to establish the initial business.
Over the first year of operations, Teleca expects its Indian operations to grow rapidly to be able to scale projects. The first person to be hired at the Bangalore site is Santosh Xavier, who brings 15 years of telecom experience from Sasken; during recent years, Xavier has managed the Sasken Terminal Devices business unit.
“Teleca is looking forward to extending its comprehensive mobile solutions in integration and consulting to yet another location. We are excited to open our first Indian office,” says Santosh Xavier, VP Delivery for India. “We will build on our existing expertise and relationships. The strong global supply track record and comprehensive mobile technology coverage of Teleca will now be available close to where many major players are present, meaning our customers.”
Teleca will continue to build on its trusted position and quality record with industry leaders.
