Teleca is a privately held company owned by Symphony Technology Group (STG), and is Symphony’s platform investment for building out the market leader in engineering services for the rapidly evolving wireless software ecosystem. STG is a Silicon Valley based investment firm that manages over $1B in capital. Its investment focus is software and information services, and it invests with long term commitments and a charter of creating, enabling, and empowering transformation and innovation in its market leading companies. STG made the Teleca investment out of the STG III fund. This $900M fund was raised in summer of 2007, of which over 80% is still not yet invested.

STG has had an exceptional track record as a transformational investor, including its investments in Intentia AB (now Lawson software), Information Resources Inc., Symphony Services Corporation, Capco NV, Escalate Retail, and others. This track record is now being extended at Teleca, where significant investments are being made to broaden the range, depth, and geographic coverage of Teleca’s best in class mobile software competencies. Symphony’s representatives on the Board of Directors of Teleca include Pallab Chatterjee, Chairman, Chet Kamat and J.T. Treadwell.
